DMD Advocates advised the selling shareholders of Raksha Health Insurance TPA Private Limited (Raksha TPA), a company engaged in the business of delivering third party administration services to health insurance companies in India and Raksha TPA in relation to the sale of 100% of their shareholding in Raksha TPA to Medi Assist Insurance TPA Private Limited. The transaction is subject to the approval of the insurance regulator, the IRDAI. This is set to be one of the biggest acquisitions in the TPA space.
Rashi Dhir, Senior Partner and Head of Corporate, was responsible for overseeing the deal and was involved in providing important strategic advice to the selling shareholders of Raksha TPA. The transaction was led by Sumit Sinha, Partner, along with Ashima Dewan, Counsel, and Sukanya Bhattacharya, Senior Associate.
Associates Arnav Mithal, Garima Thukral, Aditya Sharma, Aditi Kumari, and Ela Bharti assisted the transaction team with diligence and ancillary support.
