Shashank Shekhar is a Partner in the Indirect Tax Practice at DMD Advocates, bringing over two decades of experience to the role. He has extensive court-room experience while representing clients at various fora including Supreme Court of India, High Courts and Tribunals and has obtained favourable judgments and orders for the clients from Courts and Tribunals.

Shashank is actively engaged in steering several pivotal, high-stakes, and industry-wide litigations on behalf of a diverse clientele. His role extends to crafting astute litigation strategies, especially in high-stake matters. He also briefs Senior Advocates as per clients’ requirement. In addition, he advises clients on several contentious issues.

Over the course of his illustrious career, Shashank has had the privilege of serving clients spanning an extensive spectrum of industries, including Oil & Gas, Mobile Phones, Mining, Auto-Ancillaries, IT-ITeS, Broadcasting, Alcobev, E-commerce, Banking & NBFC, Electronics & Consumer Durables, Telecom, Power, Pharma, and Hospitality, among others. This breadth of experience has honed his ability to navigate complex legal challenges across various sectors.

Shashank is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law at Delhi University. His professional journey also encompasses valuable experiences gained during his tenure at Big Four and leading law firms.
